Auxin Transport in Roots

X. RELATIVE MOVEMENT OF RADIOACTIVITY FROM IAA IN THE STELE AND CORTEX OF ZEA ROOT SEGMENTS

A micro-application technique has been used to apply IAA to particular tissues at the cut ends of intact and de-steled segments of Zea mays roots. The acropetally polarised transport of IAA occurs only in the presence of stelar tissues.
