Recently, a new family of plant transcription factors, the VHIID-domain family, have been established. A gene encoding a polypeptide that shows high similarity to VHIID-domain proteins was identified. According to its features, this new gene (RGL) is proposed to be a novel member of the VHIID-box putative transcription factor family. Keywords: VHIID-domain putative transcription factors family, Arabidopsis thaliana
