Using reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction and degenerate
primers based on conserved sequences, a partial cDNA from
Arabidopsis thaliana has been cloned that encodes part
of homologue of gp91-phox of NADPH oxidase. It is
expressed in Arabidopsis shoots, roots and flowers and
its expression in suspension cultures is up-regulated by elicitation with
harpin or exposure to hydrogen peroxide.Key words: Arabidopsis
