The regulation of a glucosyl transferase homologue which is rapidly induced
during defence response in tobacco was investigated. Expression of the gene
is induced in reasons to wounding and during a hypersensitive response to
TMV, but regulation differs in these two responses.Key
words: Plant defence, signalling, glucosyl transferase.
