Effect of Exposure to Ambient Atmosphere on Nucleolar Size and DNA, RNA, and Protein Content of Allium cepa Epidermal Nuclei

Exposure of previously protected onion leaf base outer epidermis to the ambient atmosphere resulted in an increase in nucleolar size and nuclear RNA and protein content while nuclear DNA content and average number of nucleoli per nucleus were unchanged.
