About the Cover

Cover Figure

An almond 9-hydroperoxide lyase; a new CYP74 is targeted to lipid bodies. Images of tobacco protoplasts expressing an almond HPL-GFP construct showing the fluorescence associated with oil bodies (first and second row). The fluorescence pattern was compared with that of oleosin-GFP as a positive control (fourth row). The endomembrane marker GFP-Chi (third row) and the Medicago truncatula-HPL-GFP (predicted to be targeted to plastids; fifth row) constructs were chosen as negative controls. The superimposed image shows a schematic representation of HPL being routed from the endoplasmic reticulum to the lipid bodies with HPL in green and oleosin in red.
